The gas spring test rig of WPM was designed for force and retraction speed measurement for gas springs.
Features
Flexibility: The crosshead has a mechanical clamping. After loosening the clamping screws, it can be adjusted continuously by means of the rope winch fixed at the intermediate plate.
High measurement accuracy: The machine frame has a stiff design. In order to protect the spindles from shear forces, two columns are mounted on the machine foot, which are connected with each other by an upper plate. A third shorter column, connected with the other columns by a plate, stabilizes the machine frame.
Automatic testing processes: Equipped with force and displacement sensors together with a freely programmable digital control, the machine is prepared for automatically running programmed testing processes and evaluation.
Speed measurement: By means of the displacement measurement system, the displacement in a certain time is measured. Out of this data, the speed is calculated and the extension characteristics are determined.
Intelligent measurement recording and evaluation: The testing parameters of a gas spring are read from a selectable file, making it possible to test various types of springs. The created diagrams can be printed in a test report which can be individually designed.
